The mini-series is almost over, and it will be nice for me to come up with some new ideas. I really wish I could use flash to express how idiotic/ goofy I act when I play games. I yell, make stupid noises, and talk like a gangster sometimes. Maybe one day, maybe one day…

Yay! Another Bon Jovi reference! You know you like it… also I know I lied in my last post about someone returning. I assure you, I put it off another week, so I can really think things through. It’ll be worth the wait… well, for those who really mind.
Now I tell you, if any of you readers own a Nintendo Wii, then you better own a copy of De Blob. It’s an amazing display of what a third party can do, and the music is quite, quite catchy. I haven’t played the multiplayer yet, but the single player is fuuuun stuff. Well, that’s the closest to a review I’m going to do for a while. :-P

I recently picked up Street Fighter 4 for $20, and the clerk told me it was the last copy. So, after I left…I just imagined this comic happening in real life. Haha, I’m a terrible person, I know. Now, I know I say NOT to shop at Lamestop Gamestop, but they have some good deals. In the future, I’ll just have Best Buy price match their butts, so I won’t have to go there unless I need to.
I’m sure you probably didn’t notice, but the comic doesn’t look nearly as messy as usual… this is because I got a Micron Pen, and so tried it out on this comic. Let me know whatcha think, and which style you like better.
I’m also throwing the idea around of getting some Nerds Soup shirts printed, so if you have any design suggestions then I’d love to hear them…. and possibly make fun of them (but you won’t know that). Or let me know if you may like to purchase one in the future…. the distant future.

Funny thing, this comic is a true story…and it has happened several times. A ‘Peanut’ is where you curl up into a ball on the diving board, lean forward, and land on the water head first. Too bad it doesn’t always happen that way. Sometimes you lean forward too much and smack your back, as seen in comic. But man… I need to go to the pool more this summer, I miss it.

Funny thing about this comic… about 90% of it is true (everything but my printer talking to me). I lost my debit card, and somehow it was sitting in the mouth of my printer? Yeah. I also did get Lips (which is basically just a karaoke game), but I don’t think it’s had any kind of price drop lately.
Few of you may have noticed that we posted stuff on Tuesday, and this was no prank. Pat and myself will be regularly posting on Tuesdays, but Friday Funny comics are sticking to Fridays. This week marks Friday Funnies’ 1 year! It has seemed like several years to me, but apparently it’s only been one. I remember that a year ago, Pat had just posted his first Notebook Comic, and this was what gave me the idea to start publishing comics on Facebook. So, I started writing comics every Friday, and I would post them on Facebook. It’s always been a dream to have a website for me to post my comics on for everyone to see, and I’m excited that I have been given the chance to share my comics. (If you dont understand the comic, think of the cable that you use to jump a depleted car battery. You NEVER touch two leads together after the other two leads are connected to the other car battery. If so, you create a live circuit….this is what I, not knowingly, did.)
I hate to admit that this comic is a true story (except the last part), but even I have to admit that it’s funny. Only about five different guys saw the fireworks, and the teacher was not one of them. I was glad for a while, because there was a three week period when no one brought it up. Until about four days ago, the few guys who saw the event kept bringing it up again, and then they would all just build off each others jokes. So, someone in the past few class periods always seems to bring it back up… makes me wish the last part of the comic DID happen. Also, I have nothing against KU fans, but I think every person in the class wears some form of KU apparel.
I’ve learned some new terms in my electronics class, and they make me snicker every time. For example, (GEEK MODE: Activated) adding an extra electron space to an atom is called, “Doping.” See? Always gets me. Another one is this stuff you melt onto a circuit board that is called, “Flux.” Kinda funny, but the best part is the stuff you use to remove it if you make a mistake is called, “Flux Off.” Oh boy, I couldn’t stop saying that to other people in the class.

I hope you’re happy Lucas, you ruin my life at work and in my comics (he reads these comics). He’s been bugging me to put him in a comic for some time now, and now he finally got his wish. Now, this doesn’t mean if you annoy me for several months that you will be transformed into the world of the funnies, and if you do…it may not be a good thing. Yeah, I may make fun of you, or give you a pointless line at the end of the comic. Hah!
-Quick note, for those who aren’t familiar with mah comics, I draw them with a normal pen, pencil, and paper. Nothin’ fancy, nothin’ fancy. Next, I scan them in, then photoshop the dialogue since my handwriting sucks. There. (some I also draw in paint, but look kinda crappy, like the April Fools picture)
I know, I know. “Jon, Jon! Why didn’t you make a comic about April Fool’s?!” I WILL TELL YOU WHY I DIDN’T! …I forgot about it until Tuesday, and by then it was TOO LATE. Well, This is The Nerd’s Soup first wave of posts. I’m Jon, and all I’m good for is making comics (The character in the comic above is mine). Every Friday @ midnight, I shall post a new comic…hints the name “Friday Funnies.” I’ve been posting these comics on facebook since June of last year, and I’m glad to finally have a website to post them on. I also do have a group on facebook, “Friday Funnies.” I hope you all enjoy reading them as much as I do.
